it's not easy livin' the life…

I’ve always like vintage photography, if I haven’t said it much, and now I’ve been messing with some HDR’s and turning it into one.  It’s pretty interesting how it makes the photo looks synthetic and fake.  The photo looks like it’s CGI.  Pretty cool I think.  Here’s the comparison of the two.  Check it!

And here’s the original… well not really the original photos but the original processed HDR photo.

Finally got a hold of a new camera… Well it’s not a 5D MKII but hey I can live with it. I’ve always wanted to get a Polaroid camera so this is such a treat. It’s unforunate that production has been halted for them but alas they’re going to be back up by the early next year.

For now tho I got to live with the expensive ass price tag of these film cartridges but hey it’s art right… Now time to get an Holga.

Another HDR Photo?

Aaahh the new year, a new beginning, a new life… Well, not really. Same life, no reset and no start from scratch. Just same old life I’ve had since birth. The year 2008 just past and I would have to say it was an excellent year for me. Met a lot of good people, memorable people actually, that impacted my life in a good way. Got new accomplishments and done new things that I’ve never tried before. Won’t go into detail but all I can say, once again, is that it has been an awesome year. From the Vegas trip in January, ending it with another Vegas trip last December, to taking part in the FF4 Movie (And meeting an Amazing person) to getting a creation on a video game. It has been a extremely busy year but in turn very rewarding.

Crazy work schedule, parties, hardship, challenges, accomplishments, sadness, and rocking out, all that are ingredients to a formula of growing and being knowledgeable. All parts important to take part of the year that just pass. Wouldn’t have it any other way. Well, maybe a few things here and there but I’ll take what I had. Can’t win em’ all, can’t have everything.

So here it goes. Year in reviews in photo mosaic form. As been said over and over again, picture says a thousand words and I have about 10000 photos to tell a tale. Enjoy.

A quick test of a post I’m about to make (should be on the Latest Post Bit). Took a while for me to figure out how I can post a mosaic photo and be able to see all the pictures included in it. I was initially going to do a google map-esq style of viewer but that involves a lot of coding and more time. Time that I really don’t have patience to spend. Although it is a good learning experience so that I can use it in a later time… OK FINE I’M LAZY TO DO IT. But still this shit took time. Figuring it out and putting it together =)

What’s a good way to kick off the first month of the new year? Get new clothes? New Car? New Everything? How bout something different? How bout look at amazing artwork? Step out of the norm and do something new. Check out some awesome paintings to jump start the new year.

For the first two weeks of the year my good friend Asia Eng (<3) will be having her art shows on two different venues. First installation show will be on January 3, 2009 and will be at 729 S. Spring St, Los Angeles, CA 90014. And her first ever (So Awesome) Solo show entitled “Girls Poo Flowers: Satirical Images of Women” will be held at 408 E. 1st St. STE 102 Long Beach, CA 90802 the following week of January 10, 2009. If you are in the area, show some love and check out her work. Crazyness is all I can say. She worked so hard on these and it shows. Insane detail and almost disturbing themes… In a good way =)

Here’s a little preview of her art. I snapped the pics and made these for her display. For more information please visit her site at Asiaengart.com

Awesome stuff… for more of her work visit the gallery I made for her by clicking here.

Here she is hard at work. Sorry for the quality, this was taken from an Iphone =)

Since I’ve been on the HIN Nightshift mode for the last few days lemme conclude the coverage with some ladies…

Since I was waaay to busy to go around and take pictures of the lovely ladies all throughout the show, I have my gorgeous girls from AC Elite to fill in the void.  Even tho it was searing hot that day they were still on a cheery mood to welcome all the fans.  Thank you girls for making us feel all warm and cuddly inside.  Our ACElite Girlfriends are joined by two new sweethearts, Doll and Cara Skye that, I have to say, are gorgeous in every single way.  Thank you for joining us and welcome to the Auto Concept Elite family!

Thanks to Asia, Linn, Meg, Doll and Cara for helping us out that day.  Asia's Tears I am sooooo sorry that I wasn’t there the whole time to take care of you guys.  As you saw I was crazy busy that day and I thank you for understanding.  Besides you guys know what to do anyways you’ve done this so many times.  Oh and as I said I didn’t pick the outfits.  Good thing you guys listened to me and brought skirts and shorts.  Hahaha the mechanic suits would have been crazy hot!!  You guys still made it look good.  No doubt about that!

You Guys Rock!!!! Peep at some pictures I took at the event.  Sorry it’s not plentiful but sometimes, less is more =)

After a few months of planning we finally finished the shoot for Import Tuner with the G35.  Should be real cool.  Steve Demitt is an awesome photomographer… hehe.  Good location too, on the side of the road overlooking the Malibu Lake. Thanks Carter for making this happen.  We need to go grab some more sandwiches at bayside again man!!

The issue will be out as a SEMA issue and also the 10th year anniversary issue of Import Tuner.  Should be a really special issue.  Should hit the stands late Oct / Late Nov. as a December Issue.  Can’t wait.

Gorgeous day too and just perfect lighting.  Susan also tagged along to be the assistant.  Check out some of the pictures I took of the actual shoot.
