it's not easy livin' the life…

A few weeks ago one of my best friends had a christening (or dedication to whatever religion that shit was) for his daughter Danielle.  This gave us an opportunity for another random high school reunion.  Unfortunately some of our pals couldn’t make the event but no worries, nothing scotch tape, scissors and old photos can’t do.

Since last time we had a faux high school reunion (some didn’t even go to HS with me so meh..), some of our buddies are out of state so we used iChat to reconnect with them as we’re doing shots, now that we’re outside I figured I’ll use a low tech version… cutouts.

Mr. Ferdinand Matias. He couldn't make it today. Unfortunately he was managing the Ross Store that day. Wait that was 10 years ago? ok then carry on...

Ryan... a bear ate him... scroll down for more info...

Mark was on a food coma, hence the rice cooker. BTW that's barely his appetizer.

Irwin is in Texas so he has a legit reason why he couldn't be here. He can live...

Aaah memories… it’s like they were there the whole time having fun with us.  But then we didn’t stop there.  There’s a few other people that wanted to party with us so why not include them right?

Since he hasn't been around the public eye recently tiger decided to chill with us. Hey we don't care if you bang pornstars... we do the same.

Since he just faught in Texas he catched the red eye to Oxnard and chilled, we're more important than all his government pals so we gave him the VIP treatment.

Miss Fox always bugs me to chill so I gave her the opportunity to hang out that afternoon. I think she's waaay overdressed but hey she can do whatever she wants. Just don't give me a thumbs up with the toe thumb please...

For some reason this guy was walking around the streets. Since we don't descriminate we invited him in and have some grub... Man this guy can eat. We're gonna miss you Ryan...

unfortunately our timemachine is only halfway done so the heads of our old selves were the only ones that can come to the party... oh well. Sooner or later we can all do this again. We have a damn time machine for crying out loud!

Just another typical Sunday afternoon with my peeps.  Great company and great time.  We should do this again… Maybe do it on the moon or under the sea or something.  Hmmm it can be done… hell yes, it can be done…

Last weekend was spent with family and friends celebrating the baptism of my new nephew Anthony.  IMG_6621Here he is sucking on his pal Blue from Blues Clues——> Anyhoo, since I bought my Fuji Instax a few days ago I figured I should use it.  And use it I did, knowing that every shot I took cost me a bit less than $2.00 a pop.  Umm yeah it sucks.  Oh to sacrifice money for art.  Oh well.  It was a lot of fun actually.  It’s nothing like seeing your photos instantly.  Really cool stuff.  Aside from that, my buddy Carlito brought out the Holga and started taking film photos.  I’ve always wanted one of those actually but since he saw that my Polaroid camera was way cooler, he’s buying one and selling me the Holga.  Haha.  In case you’re wondering what the hell I’m talking about check out square frog for more info about holgas for more details.

Here’s some of that Polaroid fun.

High End Crew... Some of us at least.IMG_10031IMG_3594Guarding a very important person... Not really...Yeah that would be $50 dollars right there

IMG_3651I was crazy stoked yesterday for finally returning to my favorite thing every morning after about 2 days of not doing it.  Running on the beach has been a daily thing for me for the past 4 months and today was no different… Until I got there that is.  It was like a barren waste land as soon as I arrived on the sandy shores.  Hardly anyone was there.  Actually I think I was the only one stupid enough to hang out on the shore.  There are about 4-5 people on the pier trying to catch some fish but I was the only one on the whole beach chillin’ at the sand.  My attempt to run was deeply questioned by my sanity while my heart and humor wants me to go since it the fact that I’m there actually makes me laugh out loud and made me feel happy.  Crazy how I actually did it… but it didn’t last that long.  IMG_3648I ran about half a mile then went back.  It was too crazy.  I’m no match with 40mph gust of wind sand blasting my leg on every single step I take.  I ended up standing under the pier with my back on one of the beams that supports it and hanging out there for about an hour doing nothing and just staring out on the ocean begging it to do more.  It was just me against the elements I suppose but I had so much fun doing it.  Just hanging out, not a care in the world, and sand flying everywhere.  Amazing sight.  Good thing I have my trusty iPhone to take some shots with and a quick video to show how dope it was.  Yeah I know I’m an idiot.

Automotive car shows has come and gone. Gone are the likes of NOPI, the one show wonder Auto Crave, and sadly Showoff Shows (Last show will be August 15). One show has held on and still have it’s grip on the automotive aftermarket industry. Barely at least.

The first Hot Import Nights of the year was held about a month ago (I know it’s late, Shut up) but it was supposed to be held in Los Angeles but the venue thought that the followers of the show are too gangsta’ for them. Two weeks before the show they decided to move the event to Anaheim, CA smack down in the middle of the Angels Stadium. Now with the show scene slowly withering away, HIN was held outdoors to accommodate their motor sports events which was held during the Night Shift events. A lot was changed with the show as far as judging and staff is concerned. With the confusing new judging system which was later modified (I’ll get to that later) we all threw our hands up and ask question. Oh well. It happened already.
