it's not easy livin' the life…

Oh Zele, you always bring the expensively good stuff. Remember Zele? Those guys that brought us that Kick ass Orange GTR and their new 370Z finally came out with their Back pack. Knowing Zele, this back pack will cost an arm and a leg. It does look gorgeous tho. Should I get one? Nah… I always hate hard shelled back pack. Actually this might be sweet if I buy a matching Carbon Fiber Bike. Hmmmm

Check It…

For the past few weeks i’ve been struggling on what the hell I should put in this blog. I’ve been thinking of just getting rid of it and do something else but it turns out that I still like doing this even tho I hardly have time for it. Now what I’m thinking is just making this a full time portfolio and what the hell I’m coming up with. Either in Art and design or clothing and automotive. It’s time for change and I think I’ll take this seriously coz I am in badly need to finish my portfolio. I’m gonna start uploading some of my work that is non confidential and just post it up.

As like any companies out there at the moment Autobacs has been having a hard time to gain revenue. I just didn’t know it was this bad.

I knew they were closing down their Covina store coz that was bad but it looks like both are going down and then some. It’s a very sad thought how a lot of companies are going down. There were more than 200 thousand people that lost their jobs in January alone here in US. And with the economy and the falling value of the dollar, we’ll see more JDM companies going to shit this year. Sad but true.

Dunno if it’ll affect sales on some publications or not but I saw this while browsing around trackbacks. The website Zinio.com digitizes magazines and post them online. Really high quality stuff too so check em out at Zinio.com It cost .99 cents to view the full magazine. Zoom in, turn pages, read articles, just like a regular magazine… except you can’t wipe your ass with the pages I guess if need be… anyhoo cool stuff in a fraction of a price of a regular mag. Also if your a hippie you might prefer this. SAVE THE TREES!!!!

Can I just say this for the record. I am officially in love with this car. Although I still think that the new 370Zs looks like the ambiguously gay duo car, this version by Zele doesn’t disappoint. This is by far one of my favorite cars at the moment. Zele is been kicking ass in the JDM aftermarket part industry lately with their initial release of the mighty orange R35 which shared the booth space with our High End Evo X last SEMA.

There isn’t that much go fast bits on the car yet and actually Zele is not really known for that but still this car is on the top of my list to being one of the sexy cars of this year. So far, here’s what this car has.

Zele 370Z

Zele 370Z at Tokyo Auto Saloon

ZELE Front Aero Bumper
ZELE Carbon Front Lip Spoiler
ZELE Side Skirts
ZELE Rear Bumper
ZELE Carbon Rear Spoiler
ZELE Carbon Pillar Cover
ZELE Carbon Radiator Shroud
ZELE Carbon Mirror Cover
ZELE Titanium Shift Knob
ZELE Customised Paint Program
ZELE FZ-ROM Type1
ZELE Titanium Tower Brace
ZELE Titanium Muffler Type2
ZELE ARAGOSTA Suspention Kit
ZELE Performance Brake Kit
RECARO Bucket Seats TS-G Alcantara
RAYS Volk Racing TE37G2 Alloy Wheels
TOMEI Sports Catalist EX

Not that long of a list like other shop cars but it is an eye catcher. Just a gorgeous build. Can’t wait for all the other parts they’re putting on the car. Expect this kit to be on a lot of 370Zs when it comes out stateside.

For everyone’s delight here’s a few more pictures of Zele’s booth in last week’s Tokyo Auto Saloon and some parts that were developed for this car. Enjoy.

Zele Booth Girls as good of a quality as their cars

Love the new Voltex Body kit for the Z. Finally got the front picture of the finished car. The wheels are kinda meh… but it still flows pretty good. Steve jump into this man. This is how you should build your car. Makes me want to get a Z.

And here’s the contender for the best 370Z body kit. Zele International came out of no where and attack the Japanese automotive world with their initial release of their bright orange R35 on last year’s TAS. Now they’re at it again with the release of their classy looking aero part for the 370Z. Gorgeous!!!

Right now in my book, these two companies are the best Aero Parts designer at the moment. Can’t beat the design of Voltex and Zele. Good stuff. Just for the record tho, I’m not feeling the New Volk G2s. Just my 2 cents.

A quick test of a post I’m about to make (should be on the Latest Post Bit). Took a while for me to figure out how I can post a mosaic photo and be able to see all the pictures included in it. I was initially going to do a google map-esq style of viewer but that involves a lot of coding and more time. Time that I really don’t have patience to spend. Although it is a good learning experience so that I can use it in a later time… OK FINE I’M LAZY TO DO IT. But still this shit took time. Figuring it out and putting it together =)

Now we all know that Evo’s are fatasticly fast and some of the best handing cars out there. And all Evo lovers has probably seen that one episode of Top Gear where a Evo IX chases down and out performs a Murci. Well as we all know that Evo is known as an FQ-400. Sadly it is only available in the British Isles. With the new X we’ve all been anticipating when the new FQ-400 is coming out…

Finally Here it is… There hasn’t been a HQ pic of the FQ (hehe), and after a night of hunting for it I finally tracked one down. Holy hell it’s gorgeous. I want one. Aside from the new, very aggressive body that the car has, the UK engineers achieved on cranking out a total of 405bhp from this 2 liter 4B11 that all Xs have. A higher flowing exhaust system and a heavy modified ECU is the source of this power and I’m pretty sure a much larger turbo is also under the hood. Brembo brakes was tossed out and replaced by much more aggressive Alcon stoppers. Bad news for the Flappy paddle lovers tho since those, like the Brembos, are tossed out in place to a much more traditional 5 speed transmission which I much rather have. Even tho the the Dual SST is a major leap in automotive technology, I do not think it can handle the power and torque this car produces. Mitsu still is tight lipped about the suspension setup but expect this car to make circles around any OE STI out there and chasing raging bulls on the road. Can’t wait for another road test by the Top Gear crew. I’m sure they have something exciting up their sleves.

Here’s a couple more shots but unfortunately they’re not as high quality as the last one but nonetheless, enjoy

I’ve seen some pretty awesome crazy engine mods in my days.  Some work and some don’t.  One of the craziest once that i’ve been interested with is a twin charge system.  Super Charger and Turbo Charger.  Some work, Most doesn’t.  Only one company that I’ve seen and known that has actually perfected this with their Altezza is Power Enterprise.  The system they have can be daily driven.  Awesome power all throughout the power band.

Now they’re kicking it up a notch with their R35GTR Four.  Power Enterprise has been pretty silent on the GTR Tuning department but set to debut this TAS is their twin charge twin turbo monster.  Can’t wait to see it in action and hear it.  Mr. Taminaga and his mechanics have been hard at work.  Keep up the awesome work guys.

Mr Phillip Phong from Mackin Industries Sent this out a week back… Just a quick pic of the new 370Z with some rockin Volks.  Here’s the cars with the new G2 and GT30s.  Lookin’ good.  These cars has so much potential.  Still hating the lights tho but like everything else, it’ll grow on me.

It’s been a few months or should I say a  year since all the “Japanese” supercars came out.  Slowly but surely aftermarket part manufacturers are coming out with their new designs for aero kits.  Some are good but most are FAIL.  Here are 2 of them…

First one is for the Evo X… Ings+1.

I got to admit tho, Ings is a very good aero parts company and their kits look good on most of their models.  Unfortunately this doesn’t apply to the Evo X.  This kit just doesn’t work for me.

The second car will be the oh so lovely Nissan GTR, with an aero kit made by Branew.  Easily a new name in my brain since i’ve never heard of them.  They actually previously released a lip kit for the gtr and even that was not very appetizing.  Here’s the front end of their new kit.

Lots more coming up especially with Tokyo Auto Saloon just around the corner. Hopefully, praise Jebus, they won’t be horrific. I have faith in the JDM gods. Hopefully they won’t dissapoint.
